A Dangerous Career
One day a man wakes up to find that an escaped gorilla has climbed up onto the roof of his house. He tries to entice the animal down with bananas, but to no avail. Not being too sure what to do about it, he rings around and eventually manages to get in touch with a company that specialise in this kind of problem, so he asks for their help.
Ten minutes later, a van pulls up and an old man gets out carrying a ladder, a baseball bat, a pair of handcuffs and a shotgun. He is quickly followed by his dog. The old man takes a look at the gorilla on top of the house, and then walks up to the man and gives him the shotgun.
The man asks the old man how he plans to get the gorilla down. "Well, first of all I climb up the ladder, then I hit the gorilla with the baseball bat and knock him off the roof. When he hits the ground, my dog will attack him. My dog is specially trained to attack the genitals. The gorilla will automatically pull both his hands down to defend himself, making it easy for me to slip on the handcuffs".
"So what's this gun for, and why have you given it to me?", the man asks.
"Well that's just in case things go wrong. If I miss the gorilla and he knocks me off the ladder, I want you to shoot my dog".
