Confident Interview?
Reaching the end of his job interview, the Personnel Officer asked the young applicant fresh out of college,
"And, what starting salary were you looking for?"
The applicant said, "In the neighbourhood of DM 150,000 a year, depending
on the benefits package."
The Personnel Officer said, "Well, what would you say to a package of
6 weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays, fullm edical and dental, the Embassy matching
retirement funds to 50% of salary, an Embassy leased Corvette every two years,
and the salary you asked for?"
The applicant sat up straight and said, "Wow! Are you kidding?"
And the personnel officer replied,
"Yeah...but you started it!"
